UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2024 Postponed: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has changed the date of Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024. Earlier this exam was to be held on 26 May 2024, now it will be held on Lok Sabha Elections After this it will be done on 16th June. Let us tell you that elections for the 18th Lok Sabha will be held in the country from April to June 2024. In such a situation, a decision has been taken to postpone this exam.

Notification for so many posts was issued

It is worth noting that this year UPSC has issued notification of 1506 vacancies for Civil Services Examination and 150 vacancies for Indian Foreign Officers Service. Let us tell you that UPSC conducts examinations in three stages. These include prelims, mains and personality test.

When was the notification issued

Union Public Service Commission had released the notification for the prelims examination of Civil Services Exam on 14 February. In the notice, the Commission had given the date of exam as 26th May. Which has now been changed by UPSC in view of the elections. Now this examination will be conducted on 16 June 2024. Candidates will be given information regarding admit card and other rules and regulations of the exam in time.

Why is UPSC exam conducted?

UPSC examination is conducted every year. A large number of candidates appear for this exam every year. This examination is conducted in the country for admission to civil services. Through this examination, administrators are selected for different posts in various ministries and departments of the Government of India. This examination is also one of the most difficult examinations in the world. UPSC CSE exam is conducted in three phases. Which includes preliminary, main and personality tests.
